Space NK – Bournemouth

We attended this service call at Space NK, Bournemouth on behalf of a leading retail music provider, where their client reported the outage of two ceiling speakers and distortion to another.

A full test and inspection of the system was carried out, which enabled us to locate the source of the fault and carry out the repair. We also replaced the aging ceiling speakers, as requested by our client, and resolved an issue with high volume levels over the sales desk.

Sweaty Betty – Battersea

We were asked by a leading music provider to be involved in this retail project, at the iconic Battersea Power Station. As the brand’s first UK concept store they specified a system that would provide big sounds.

Hi-spec speakers were fitted to meet the customer’s requirements and we installed a muti-zone volume control to provide independence between the sales area speakers and the custom built speaker situated in the store window.

A sizable installation, requiring multiple zones each with independent volume control.

Due to the irregular shape and layout of the premises we were extremely mindful of speaker placements and we aimed to allow the sounds to flow through the walkways with the very minimum filtering into the bays.

Footasylum – Cheshunt

Working in partnership with XO Music we undertook a large installation for Footasylum at their new Brookfield Shopping Park store. We extended the existing cabling to facilitate the number of speakers specified by the client and installed hi-spec speakers throughout the premises.

To allow zonal volume control of the sales area we fitted a multi-channel volume controller and high-rated mixer amplifier. We completed the installation with a full operational test of the system and a general post-installation inspection.

Rush Hair Salon – Kings Cross

We attended this service call at Rush Hair, Kings Cross to investigate an issue regarding zoning. They required the volume control of the ground floor and basement salon systems to be separated, to provide more suitable sound levels depending on salon activities in the two zones.

A 2-channel mixer amplifier was installed which featured multi-zone control and we also renewed degraded wiring that we located during our initial inspection. A full test of the system was carried out along with training staff how to operate the new mixer amplifier.

Sweaty Betty – Ashford

For this store the client specified a four-speaker configuration, which were to be recessed into the ceiling. New cabling was installed above the ceiling. The installation was completed with a new power amplifier which was matched to the speakers to provide optimum power and accessible volume control, which allowed staff to adjust the volume of the music from the sales area.

This store was completed in partnership with XO Music.

Shoeaholics – Hatfield

To meet the customers new layout requirement the original audio cable was replaced within this store which, once the speakers were installed, offered better sound coverage and richer tones.

We were asked by a local business to undertake some portable appliance testing on their electrical appliances which are used both instore and at their gameday events.

Safety checks and tests were carried out on items such as battery chargers, mobile card readers, technical repair equipment and general media appliances.
